Neck Pain

Neck pain is another common complaint we see here at Energise Chiropractic and it’s no wonder with the amount of time we spend on our devices and computers.

According to a study conducted this year, 79% of the population aged between 18 and 44 have their mobile phones with them most of the time.

Looking down at our phones so often is very bad for our necks due to the fact that our heads are quite heavy and sit on top of seven smaller bones called cervical vertebrae.

It doesn’t take much looking down to put lots of pressure and stress on the area and this is a recipe for neck pain. Looking down is only part of the problem though.

Here is a list of common causes of neck pain that we can help you with here at Energise Chiropractic:

  • Poor posture
  • Trauma/whiplash
  • Muscular spasm or referral pain
  • Nerve pain and irritation
  • Neck pain associated with prolonged computer and/or device use
  • Facet joint dysfunction

HOW WE CAN HELP

Energise Chiropractic has been servicing the people of Newcastle for over 3 years now.

At Energise Chiropractic, our approach is to find out what is causing your pain rather than a quick fix in the area that is symptomatic. This is done through talking to you, taking a comprehensive history and conducting a thorough exam of your spine and muscles.

We don’t rush you out the door, we take our time to ensure that we get to the root of the problem. At Energise Chiropractic we are committed to providing patients with a treatment that is tailored to their needs.

All treatments include a unique combination of deep tissue massage and chiropractic adjustments and we also provide patients with postural advice, stretches and exercises to help aid recovery and get their bodies performing at it’s optimum capacity

In our experience here at Energise Chiropractic, this combination is a more beneficial and complete form of pain and injury therapy. The results will speak for themselves.

Headaches

Headaches and migraines can be completely debilitating. They can have a negative impact on every aspect of your life including family, social and employment.

As a headache and migraine sufferer myself, I understand this all too well. Unfortunately because headaches are so common, many people out there just put up with the pain that they cause

All too often I hear that people get weekly headaches and that they consider this to be a normal part of their life.

Asprin and other medications can be a short-term solution but they don’t address the underlying cause and often have negative side effects.

Chiropractic care is a natural, drug free approach to treating headaches and there’s scientific evidence out there that supports the benefits. So it’s time to stop putting up with those headaches and come in for a chiropractic consult!

There are countless causes of both headaches and migraines and one of those is definitely dysfunctional neck muscles and joints – this is what we can help you with here at Energise Chiropractic.

More often then not, there are several causes of the headache and/or migraine but if we are able to take some of the stress of the system by treating the musculoskeletal issues in the neck, we often see very positive results for our patients.
